Day 3!
Today begins the Early Neurological Stimulation
exercises. The process requires handling the
puppies one at a time, for 14 days, while
performing a series of five exercises. These
five exercises will produce neurological
stimulations, none of which naturally occur
during this early period of life. However they
have been proven by the United States Marine
Corp as well as police forces and many other
high performance kennels to produce pups that
have more tolerance to stressful situations as
well as show a higher level of intelligence and
learning capabilities.
In addition all pups and mother had their first
vet check to ensure all was ok. There are no
umbilical hernias or cleft pallets. All pups are
in great health and growing rapidly. This
weekend the pups will have their dew claws
removed.

1 Week!
The puppies are one week old! Its seems the time
is passing so quickly. They are already so
much bigger! Not quite doubled their original
birth weight. We continue the ENS exercises,
their dew claws have been removed and we trim
their nails about every three days. This is to
make it easier on Alley, but also to get them
used to being handled and having their feet
handled.
Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Sincerely,
Sheena McCorkle

Birthday!
The day has finally
arrived!!! On 8/26/09 Alley went into labor at 1:30 pm and had
2 boys and 4 girls by 5:00.
They are all healthy and strong and each came out with a
different
personality already!! Its amazing. Alley is doing well
and is a wonderful
mother. It was a great experience for all of us.
Please see the
picture album link. It will
be updated as we get new pics - enjoy!!!
As the puppies
become more mobile and "hunting", we are going to put
video here as well. I'll let you know when that is
available.
Thanks so much. Looking forward to some fun and exciting
times!

Alley's Due Date:
Aug 29, 2009
for an Oct 2009
available date
Peakview retriever puppies
are raised with the idea of them being Useful
Performance or Working Adult companions. We raise each
litter as though each pup will be the next field
Champion, Great Hunting Companion, OTCH, Search and
Rescue Hero, Leader Dog, or MACH. And guess what, they
may very well be.
At 3 days of age we start
early neurological stimulation exercises. We continue
Daily Handling exercises individually with each pup.
With larger litters we also supplement with daily bottle
feeding.
It is very important to
trim toenails weekly. This makes it easier on mom and
helps the pups get used to their feet being touched. We
try to raise pups that are wired to learn almost from
birth.
Peakview Retriever Puppies come with the following:
• Individual stimulation from birth to 16 days
• Dew claws removed
• Wormed
• Inoculated
• Individual Socialization from 5 to 7 weeks
• Started on House Breaking
• Individual Veterinarian Examination
• Health Guarantee in Writing
• Support to New PeakView Puppy Owners
• AKC/UKC Registered
• One year membership to local AKC or UKC Retriever Club
or 20% off force fetching program from Peakview
Retrievers.
Alley's pups will be raised in Peyton, Colorado by the
Peakview Retrievers. They will be socialized and
evaluated for placement of the pups to fit the buyer’s
needs. We expect this litter to be a wonderful
Performance offspring and all round great goldens to
live with.
Alley and Striker have been bred in hopes of producing
that elusive "Competitive Hunt Test or Field Trial
Golden". The breeding excels in working ability and
should produce talented working retrievers capable of
holding up to the pressure of daily training and
trialing.
The breeding should produce exciting puppies for Field
Trials, Hunt Test, Obedience, Agility, Search & Rescue
or Family companions and Hunters. Both Alley and Striker
are healthy, sound working retrievers with pleasant
temperaments, good looks and classic Golden
personalities as well as strong genetic and health back
rounds. Sriker has proven to throw highly trainable dogs
with the style and desire sought after, but often
lacking, in today's goldens.
We purchased Alley from Topbrass Golden Retrievers as we
are impressed with the talent, good looks and great
personality. We anticipate that this litter will carry
on many of her positive traits. Alley has all the usual
health clearances required in our Peakview Breeding
Program. She is a light gold color with a short coat.
She has a classic golden personality and a wonderful
working attitude. She is a fully trained hunt test bitch
who has achieved her Senior and Seasoned titles.
This litter should be the perfect combination for
intelligent, attractive working retrievers, capable of
field trial and hunt test competition as well as being
livable family members. In other words,
IDEAL RETRIEVERS.
Alley and Striker pedigrees go back to some of the
original "Field Trial Greats" that have produced
outstanding retrievers for decades. Some of the great
old goldens in the pedigree include FC AFC Tangelo’s
Sidekick OS FDHF, FC AFC Windbreakers Smoke'n Zigzag OD/FDHF-
a healthy long lived producer of many all age goldens,
and AFC AFTCH Rosehill's Mr Speaker MH OS CCA FDHF. Both
Alley and Striker’s pedigree also includes the all time
great "COTTON".
OUR
puppies are carefully raised in the home environment and
socialized accordingly. They are individually stimulated
daily for maximum potential. Due to these procedures,
the puppies readily accept new and varied distractions
and stimuli in the environment around them. Our puppies
enjoy individual "play exercises", and are introduced to
retrieving by this method. We encourage the new owners
of all our Peakview puppies to continue "motivational
training" through PUPPY CLASSES to ensure an easy
transition from our environment to their new homes. Pups
brought up in this manner mature into well adjusted
adults.
Before leaving Peakview Retrievers, our puppies are
wormed, have their dew claws removed, are given their
first shots, and are examined by our veterinarian for
overall health and soundness.
We test and evaluate our puppies using procedures
outlined by various behavioral psychologists, in
addition we use methods that have been established by
well known breeders over the past 40 years to determine
the temperament and potential of each pup.
.In addition to the above, we have a Puppy Support
Program available to Peakview Retriever owners.
PRICE & DEPOSIT
The price of the Alley and Striker puppies is $1000
for breeding potential and AKC/UKC Full Registration.
This price reflects the quality of the breeding, the
commitment we have to the breed in terms of time and
financial investment.
We require a deposit of $200 to reserve puppies in
advance of whelping; litters generally sell quickly. We
ask that our puppies be registered with the "PEAKVIEW
PREFIX". Please feel free to call us at (719) 661-4428
